Gather with your fellow members for Gauley River opening weekend.

The Tawney Farm is a small-scale sheep farm located next to the beautiful Gauley River National Recreation Area in the Mountain Lakes region of central West Virginia.  The 120 acres lie nestled in between two beautiful mountains -- one of them named Panther Mountain-- in the Gauley River gorge.  There they raise and sell Merino and Jacob sheep for their wool.  Our farm is also home to miniature horses, chickens, and of course dogs and cats.
Gauley River Jam 2018 AT Tawney Farm This Weekend Too
They're kicking off Gauley whitewater season with a bang! Join us at the Tawney Farm's Gauley River Wild & Woolly Primitive Campground for good music and river talk with your kayaker and boater brothers and sisters. After running the rapids, kick back at the campsite and enjoy great music.

The Band Wagon from Hamlin, WV returns to the Gauley River Jam after a few years to fill this mountain hollow with heel-stomping bluegrass and Americana tunes. The Band Wagon is an eclectic Classic Country, Rock, Bluegrass, Americana styled band ranging from traditional music to contemporary in a wide variety of genres. They'll play Friday night from 8 pm to 11 pm.

Then on Saturday night, The Rusty Haywhackers will get you up and grooving! This jam/Americana/rock and blues band from Washington, PA does not disappoint with high energy shows that get everyone up and dancing. The Haywhackers provide a blend of tasty originals and uniquely arranged and diverse selection of covers from bands like The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Recipe, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, The String Cheese Incident, The Who, Doobie Brothers and John Prine...just to name a few.

Tickets are $15 per person per night and includes camping. Our campground is super conveniently located right at the top of the hill from Mason Branch on the Gauley. Less shuttle time and more party time! And don't forget, firewood is free!
