THIS RACE IS FOR ALL TO PARTICIPATE!
This is for all paddlers with all types of craft, race boats, creek boats, play boats, canoes, SUPs, Shredder, raft, etc. It’s a BIG PARTY with prizes, food, libations. Don’t miss out!

All whitewater clubs / teams and individuals are encouraged to participate.

REGISTRATION:
PREREGISTRATION IS OPEN AND REQUIRED! Preregistration will be closed midnight Friday the 16th.  PREREGISTRATION LINK:

KNOW THE LENGTH OF YOUR BOAT:
At the starting line racers will line up by boat length. Shortest boat will be furthest downstream, longest boat will be furthest upstream. Boats below 10’ length start with stern on the bank. Boats over 10’ length start with bow on the bank. It’s a MAYHEM MASS START!  This is what it looks like:  https://youtu.be/QSmwWQpqgpA

MEETING TIME AND PLACE:
You could pre-drop your boat at the put-in and then proceed to AW Acres. Nobody is assigned to watch the boats at the put-in so leave it there at your own risk. Knock-on-wood there has never been a problem with doing this in the past. We will also have help shuttling bodies to the put-in from AW Acres by Canoe Kentucky.

Be at the take-out (AW Acres) at 10:30 a.m. for check-in which includes signing of a waiver. Racer’s meeting is at high-noonimmediately followed by shuttle to the put-in by Canoe Kentucky.
VISIT CANOE KENTUCKY WHILE YOUR IN THE AREA, GIVE THEM A BIG THANKS FOR THEIR HELP. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO PICK UP THAT GEAR YOU’VE BEEN NEEDING!

DON’T PARK AT THE PUT-IN! There’s not enough room!

DON’T PARK AT SAUFLEY’S:  This area is needed for all the time keepers and other volunteers who are helping make this race happen.  Park here and be scorned.  This is the finish line.  After finishing continue paddling to AW Acres.

DO PARK AT AW ACRES

Remember...the NPFF or the BWA has nothing to do with this race. Just one of those miracles like in field of dreams where the athletes just show up.

Bring a cool item to throw in the prize pool for the winners as you entry fee.

BRING A PRIZE!
Prizes for the winners are what YOU bring! Prizes will be awarded to the top boater babe, top guy, fastest “short boat” defined as any boat under 10 ft., top senior citizen (60 and over), top C-1, and the top competitor in whatever class you fools come up with (raft, shredder, OC-1, OC-2, hand paddles, playboat, SUP, etc.). I want to stress that the fastest lady AND the fastest “short boat” defined as any boat under 10 feet will get one of the major prizes donated. Please don’t forget your own personal donation. The more prizes the better! Examples of good prizes are a bottle of KY distilled beverage, other fine brewskies, kayak gear, gift certificates to local outfitters, a single beer, a French kiss, etc.

This is a whitewater race and there are NO safety personnel. PADDLE AT YOUR OWN RISK. There will be a lot of people in mass confusion, especially at the start. Participants must know what they’re getting into here. There is a slightly tricky portage at a terminal dam to reach the starting line. If somebody gets in trouble, forget about the fictional gold medal and help them. Bring your throw rope. Safety First!!!
